COME STAY WITH US
Overlooking the sweeping Ashwem beach, Vaayu is a diverse collective of artists, surfers, and environmentalists. The larger premises are called Vaayu Waterman’s Village, where ‘Vaayu’ is the ancient Hindu God of Wind and ‘Waterman’ is surfing lingo for a person who not only engages with a range of water-based sports, but also professes to have a deeply sensitive, responsible, even spiritual connection with the ocean.
The ethos of all that it does is in the name itself. Vaayu functions as a ‘village’ or a community of people driven by common passions like sustainable living, conscious capitalism, visionary art, animal rights, and a healthy, conscious lifestyle. Vaayu offers various types of accommodation to suit different budgets and their Adventure Center offers lessons / rentals / and excursions in kitesurfing, surfing, stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, and wakeboarding.
While at Vaayu, be sure to check out their Prana Cafe and Tea Lounge / Art Gallery.
