York

Coastal Maine

The town of York traces the bottom of coastal Maine. In the summer, it is all hustle and crowds. Tanned children beg their parents for salt water taffy, ice cream melting down one arm. Complete with arcade and board walk, it’s a little like going back in time.
Winter cuts the nostalgia from the beach scene and lets the landscape show through and thorough. Walk the frozen sand in the company of a few locals. Feel the sun set behind you, find it reflected in the water.

Portsmouth, New Hampshire is one town over and growing quickly. The spillover is rounding out York – it will be a year round destination over time.
